Blenderized tube feedings are becoming increasingly popular for their effective role in mitigating multiple common GI issues commonly seen with enteral feedings. Research continues to expand from the pediatric population to the adult population showing how the whole-food impact of blenderized diets can lead to better overall health outcomes and reduced healthcare costs. Cerebral palsy patients often rely on long-term tube feedings to provide all (or a large amount) of their nutrition needs but often struggle with multiple GI issues including constipation, retching, reflux, and vomiting that make meeting their nutritional needs difficult.
Join Registered Dietitians Lorena Pena Ramos MS, RD, CNSC, LD and Courtney Ford, MS, RD, LD as they dive into the research available on blenderized tube feedings and the cerebral palsy population. The presenters will discuss their clinical experience in using blenderized.
