What are the benefits of organic pumpkin, apple cider vinegar and cinnamon? The presence of apple cider vinegar lowers the pH of the formula and can be very helpful in lowering the glycemic index. Slightly acidic foods offer better glycemic control and can also improve protein digestion and metabolism. Pumpkin is an exceptionally great source of carotenoids that can be used by the body as a form of vitamin A. Additionally, pumpkin is rich in potassium and vegetable fiber. This type of fiber is most beneficial to gut health. The formula was designed to provide both maximum nourishment and a high level of antioxidants. Cinnamon offers Berry Medley additional polyphenols that have significant antioxidant value and it tastes great when combined with the other ingredients.
I love berries! Why wouldn’t I switch to this versus keeping my loved one on Nourish Peptide? We love berries too but the Nourish Peptide Berry Medley may not be appropriate for all patients. You may want to use with caution or transition very slowly for patients with GI sensitive conditions such as severe or uncontrolled acid reflux and/or chronic diarrhea. Reflux: The acidic nature of berries may not be well tolerated. Rapid GI transit (diarrhea): While the product has no added sugar, berries naturally contain more sugar. The total sugar grams is slightly higher than Nourish Peptide (6g versus 13g).
Why did you add Stevia? Is that really natural? Stevia is a plant-based natural sweetener. A 12oz pouch of Nourish Peptide Berry Medley contains a very small amount in the product (stevia is the last ingredient by weight). For patients extremely sensitive to any sweeteners (natural or not), Nourish Peptide is available and does not contain Stevia.
What is our refund policy? Due to the nature of our products, we cannot return any item to stock. After our product leaves our facility we cannot control how it is stored or cared for. We would never ship previously sold products to customers and we feel that you would not want us to do so. We recommend donating your unopened product to someone else who could benefit from it. We can direct you to our partner organizations that distribute our products to their communities.
